Rural Village Energy Hub Pilot Launch
This month getFound client RVE.SOL launches its first pilot Rural Village Energy Hub in Sidonge, Kenya. The RVE will provide the local community with access to electricity, clean water and biogas. Currently the people of Sidonge must carry water from polluted rivers over two kilometers from the village. Then boil the water on fires fueled with timber foraged locally. The community spends a huge proportion of it time and energy on resources we take for granted. The RVE will free up the communities time, enabling them to be more productive, and allow their children time to go to school. RVE.SOL aim is to bootstrap the local community's economy and hekp the people to help themselves. The Sidonge pilot will also be a showcase for RVE.SOL’s technology, providing a visitor center for other communities and groups to come and review the project.
